Today we sit down to discuss how Scripture gives us a covenantal framework and shows us that the people of God are one people under different ages. One age points toward Christ, and the other age is the fulfillment and points back and toward to his second coming. We then unpack the differences between dispensational and covenant theology and why we believe a covenantal framework is biblical and gives us a richer understanding of Scripture and following Jesus.

This week Matt and Nathaniel sit down to discuss how we can begin to discern with God’s wisdom what to do when when we face difficult or confusing decisions. They then discuss how everyone (believers and unbelievers) makes decisions primarily based on what they want (affections), not just what they believe (reason). They tease out implications for believers, unbelievers and evangelism. They then respond to a question about whether or not the three men in Genesis 18 were angels or a metaphor for the Trinity.

This week Matt asks Derek and Nathaniel to delve deeper into some of the nuances of forgiveness and how to know when to overlook an offense and when to go to the person. They also discuss when we should just repent privately to God and when we should also go to the other person. They then discuss some factors to consider when struggling to decide whether to have children. They conclude with a discussion on the importance of and tips for Scripture memorization.
